A beautiful ornament to commemorate the “Nutcracker” Ballet.
The Front is the Nutcracker and the back is the opening scene of the second act.
The Nutcracker and the Mouse King ornaments were created for the Ballet and sold in their gift shop. The attached photo shows the ornament showcased in the Ballet’s program. You are now able to bring one of these magnificent Nutcrackers home as a family heirloom
Did you know Mark Klaus made two sets of 16′ Nutcracker and Mouse King’s for the “Cleveland Ballet” in the mid-1990s? When the ballet moved to San Jose, CA so did the two sets of sculptures.
Mark negotiated for many years and on Dec. 23, 2014, not only did Mark get one set back, but he got both sets of Nutcracker and Mouse King figures back. One set stands in the original placement…The Hallie’s building in downtown Cleveland during Christmas. The other set has been restored and is on display at Castle Noel. Attached is a photo of the 16′ sculptures.
